SPEAKERS
Rob Davidson is a Senior Lecturer in Business Travel and Tourism at the University of Westminster in London. He joined the University in 1998, after spending nine years in France teaching at two universities (Lille and Montpellier) and at the ESSEC-Cornell Institute of Management in Paris. Prior to that, he spent five years as Education and Training Manager with VisitBritain in London. His main areas of expertise are conference and business travel, and over the last ten years he has written widely on these themes. His latest book was published in 2006: Marketing Destinations and Venues for Conferences, Conventions and Business Events, co-written with Tony Rogers. In addition, he regularly writes articles for the professional business tourism press, including Conference News. Rob also runs his own consultancy business, and has carried out research for a number of major conference organisations in the UK and overseas. He is regularly invited to speak at international conferences on the theme of trends in business tourism. Since 2002, Rob has been employed as business tourism Industry Analyst by Reed Travel Exhibitions, for whom he carries out on-going research. At EIBTM in Barcelona each year, he launches his annual report on current and future developments in the conference and incentive industry worldwide. In February 2005, he was nominated Meetings and Incentive Personality of the Year 2005, at the Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards ceremony in London, in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Anne. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, he was named as one of Conference & Incentive Travel magazine’s ‘Power 50’ – the 50 most influential people in the UK conference industry.
Danilo di Pasquale an outstanding marketing specialist and professional in the hotel Castel Montegridolfo. In the past director of several Italian hotels (including the Palazzo Viviani in the vicinity of Rimini and Palazzo Guiderocchi in Ascoli Piceno), each of which with his help made astonishing progress and extraordinary gains. He is the man with great personality, which effects any crowd of spectators. The man with unique and innovative ideas that turn out to be bull’s-eye for company he works. Recently Danilo Di Pasquale is the director of Castel Montegridolfo and owner of a consulting company – Suite24. Several Times per week Danilo is training sales techniques, factors influencing proces, the abilities to become a leader, comminication and problem-solving, yield management and creating hotel management knowledge and abilities to successfuly attract congresses and events. Lorenzo Casiraghi the MICE industry specialist in Italy, member of MPI Italy. During the last years he worked as the manager of „Meetings and Events” department at the HotelPhilosophy and was responsible for the development of the corporate segment, relations with companies and individual clients following the company name-change from Mobygest S.r.L. to HotelPhilosophy, searching and expansion of client packages, drawing up of agreements, preparation of estimates and meeting procedures in all of the 14 hotels at the HotelPhilosophy hotel chain.
Sławomir Wróblewski - a specialist of business tourism industry, events organizer, publisher. Political scientist and journalist, graduated from Warsaw University and Postgraduate Course of the Foreign Service of the Polish Institute of International Affairs. Co-founder and current Secretary General of the Association “Conferences and Congresses” in Poland. The author and publisher catalogs of facilities and conference services "Conferences in Poland www.meetingspoland.pl" (ten editions from 1998, each runs of 10.000 copies + CD + map). Trade Fair Organizer Facilities and conference services and Training Forum of business tourism "BTF (Business Tourism Fairs)”, and Event and Travel Fair "Crank". Since 2006, the name of fair: Fair Industry Meeting CEE (Central & Eastern European Business Tourism Fairs). The organizer of the annual training industry: “European Academy of organizers and planners of the Conference” (nine times since 1998). Publisher of industry newsletter, e-meetings "Polish Congress Ambassador" (Polish and English). Columnist "I'm angry" in the monthly "MICE Poland" (since 2004). The author and publisher of Romantic Travel Album "Harmony of Spirit and Body" (display, printed version, CD, website). In 1993-1995, director of the Polish Tourist Information Center in Chicago, Deputy Consul of culture at the Consulate General of Poland in Chicago. In the years 1999/2000 Director of network marketing HOTEL 500. Member of the Board of Tourism at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2001-2002). Member associations: Meeting Professionals International, the British Polish Chamber of Commerce, ICCA (1999-2000), ASTA (1994-96). Founder member of the Local Tourist Organization Northern Mazovia (board member since 2003), a member of the Board Mazowiecka Regional Tourist Organization. Lecturer at few Warsaw universities, cooperates with Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Since 1997 he leads the company and the conference office, now called "Meetings Management”.
Krzysztof Celuch - Head of Convention Bureau of Poland at the Polish Tourism Organisation. Over the past three years working on marketing of destinations in the Warsaw Convention Bureau. He graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, is currently working on completing a doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Sciences at Warsaw University on creating the media image of industry meeting in Poland. From 4 years teaches at the University of Economics and computer science in Warsaw, in which he function as the programm manager for business tourism, Since 2009 the president of MPI POLAND CLUB. A member of the Advisory Committee on universities and students at the MPI. Organizer of Students' Scientific Conference IMEX / MPI Future Leaders Forum Warsaw and the author of Warsaw Meetings Industry Report. Member of SITE, DMAI, ICCA. According to "The Meeting Professional", is among 30 people under 30 years of age having the greatest impact on the global community associated with the sector meetings in the world (2007/2008).
Krzysztof Cieślikowski - Lecturer of business tourism in the Katowice School of Economics. His research interests include marketing management in the tourism product in Poland dates back to the 90s when he began observations of the business tourism market. At the beginning there was a fascination with incentive travel, later in the work for a consulting company - were also fairs and exhibitions, training courses, after year 2000 to its specific focus on the observations of conference tourism market in Poland and abroad. PhD student University of Economics in Katowice. He has authored numerous articles on managed marketing, the tourism market and business tourism in scientific journals and industry magazines. As one of the first conducted research conference tourism in Poland, whose results were used, inter alia, to develop a tourism development strategy voivodeship Silesia. In terms of acquiring knowledge about the market cooperates with many research centers and research centers in Poland and abroad.
Adam Pawlicz - began work at the University of Szczecin from 1.10.2003 at the Department of Management and Economics of Services, which is a graduate. From 1.10.2004 started working in the Department of Tourism Management. Doctoral degree in economics received July 5, 2007 with a dissertation titled "Promotion of Tourism Product of randomly choosen Baltic Cities". From 1.10.2008 is employed as a lecturer. Adam Pawlicz in his scientific work has been addressing the application of modern technologies in the tourism sector and the externalities on the tourist market. Adam Pawlicz is responsible for contacts with foreign countries of Tourism Management Department and takes care of the Scientific Student's Association of Tourism named "KoNTurUs".
Marta Sidorkiewicz - graduated on 1.02.2005, defending her thesis at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Services of University of Szczecin, majoring in Economics, the economics and management specialty. Immediately, she started her job teaching in the summer semester of 2005. On 1 October 2005, was hired as an assistant in the Department of Tourism Management. During 2005-2007, Marta Sidorkiewicz was a listener of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics and Management Services, began the Ph.D. program on "Economic determinants of product development of business tourism in Western Pomerania". Her research interests concentrate within business tourism. This issue tries to explore not only from the theoritical but also from practical point of view by engaging actively in the organization of faculty conferences.
